Once upon a fairy tale
        I dreamed of something more
        My dreams were what was guiding me
        And through my life I'd soar
        Prince charming was a dream away
        And soon I'd find him near
        I'd have everything I ever wanted
        Just wait another year
        So I slept and so I dreamt
        Locked off from reality
        Waiting for Prince Charming
        To kiss and rescue me
        But life is not a fairy tale
        And soon I'd find this out
        That yellow brick road mislead me
        I'd have to find another route
        Somewhere over that rainbow
        Was the perfect life for me
        But standing in between us
        Was life's harsh reality
        Dreams were not enough
        I'd have to do it on my own
        Without the help of seven dwarves
        But not exactly all alone
        Because I have my heart
        And I have my dreams
        And a fairy godmother to fix me
        When I'm ripping at the seams
        They are all deep inside me
        And if we work together
        The day will come for me to have
        My happily ever after

Thats beautiful! It reminds me of how a kid see's life. They believe in "happily ever after". It's a wonderful thing. But reality steals it from them. Reality sucks

=D you know what? this reminds me of princess fiona from shrek, when she first got rescued from the tower, and later on when shrek discovers how she had been brought up (mrs. fiona charming)

i TOTALLY agree with ya: it's good to dream, good to pray, but you gotta get off your butt & start makin your dreams a reality!! and i resent the attitude that i have to wait for some man to come & rescue me, the whole damsel-in-distress bit. it's all right if it happens, but i shouldn't DREAM that it happens and then all my wishes come true, because "he" has appeared!!! have you seen Ever After? it's a cinderella story (not the hillary duff one, thank goodness) -- drew barrymore. try it out & see!! ^.^

I have seen that, I absolutely love that movie. Not really your typical Cinderella, she kicks butt! Thanks for the comments and critiques and the for fave! :)
